ANGAR BRINGS SHIKHA BASU TO SING ATULPRASAD-RAJANIKANTA-DWIJEENDRALAL ON 30 4 2011

On 30 April 2011 ANGAR arranged a unique evening of music. Noted singer Shikha Basu from Calcutta was invited to expose ranchi`ites to the touching tones of the tuneful trinity of bangla music - Atulprasad Sen, Rajanikanta Sen and Dwijendralal Roy.

and sing she did with all her heart! her mellifluous voice radiated from the dais to engross the audience for a full two hours. it was music exquisite, flavoured with devotion and depth, bringing out the distinct diction of the three different masters yet bearing every nuance of every note and tone.

Shikha Basu struck a quick rapport with the reverent audience and held them spellbound for the entire period.

the elite of Ranchi from all corners, including shri Ranjan Saha, CMD, CCL, shri A Chatterjee and shri Nag, Directors of CCL, shri S K Mitra and shri A K Debnath, director CMPDI and many other dignitaries attended the show, which was followed by a dinner hosted by ANGAR.

it was indeed a really memorable experience.
