on 3 5 2014 at Mayuri auditorium, ANGAR celebrated the arrival of Bangla New Year 1421 belatedly. Bidushi Rupa Chaudhuri enthralled the audience by showcasing Puratani Bangla Gaan showing its relationship with Tappa and Thumri of the classical genre through her mellifluous rendition. She also delineated a few original Persian classical pieces and some Bangla compositions with equal elan and verve. ANGAR talents presented with excellence two songs of Tagore with dance by young generation, and the starting song 'Ami banglay gaan gai' by Shri Amal Kumar Debnath was a real heartfelt piece, drawing deep accolades from the audience.
